S-VIN vs Y-VIN
One bike, two versions. Know which you're buying.
Not all Sur-Rons are the same. Every Sur-Ron sold in the U.S. is one of two versions. They may look identical and share nearly the same specs, but one is an authorized U.S. bike while the other is a grey-market import that can't use the official Sur-Ron app, doesn't include an MCO for titling and registration, and isn't backed by the U.S. warranty.
The difference is surprisingly easy to spot: the 4th character of the VIN. We call it the S-VIN vs. Y-VIN distinction. S = Authorized U.S. Y = Grey Market.

What can I say about the Light Bee X that hasn't already been said? This is the one that started it all, the bike every other eMoto on the market is still chasing. What I love about it is the simplicity: it's light, it's nimble, and it just works. You can pick it up with one hand and toss it through singletrack like a bicycle, but twist the throttle and it'll embarrass machines twice its size. Add in the biggest aftermarket scene out there and you've got a bike you can make truly your own. First eMoto or your tenth, every serious rider should own a Light Bee at least once. It's a classic for a reason.
